UTRGV Dashboard – Privacy Policy

1. Data Usage

Data submitted through or displayed within the Platform may be used by Vermeulens in support of its internal processes, benchmarking methodologies, reporting, forecasting, or other professional functions. Vermeulens reserves the right to use this data as it best sees fit in the course of its consulting and analytical work.

However, data will not be used for advertising or commercial marketing purposes. It will also not be sold to third parties.

2. Access to Data

Access to data within the Platform is limited to:

• Authorized UTRGV users
• Vermeulens staff with appropriate roles and responsibilities
• Hasooby engineers (for technical support and maintenance only, under confidentiality)

Role-based permissions control what users can view and edit.

3. Data Security

Hasooby follows industry best practices to safeguard data:

• Row level security
• Secure, access-controlled environments
• Role-based access permissions (RBAC)
• Ongoing monitoring and infrastructure audits

While these measures reduce risk, no system can guarantee complete security. For further assurance, UTRGV may perform or commission independent reviews.

4. Account Credentials

You are responsible for keeping your login credentials secure. Any unauthorized access or suspicious activity should be reported immediately to the UTRGV dashboard administrator.

5. Data Retention

Project and user data will be retained in accordance with the operational needs of the Platform and UTRGV's internal policies. Data may be archived or removed upon institutional request or as part of regular system management.

6. Third-Party Services

The Platform may rely on third-party services (e.g., Supabase, Resend, Vercel) to function. While we vet these services carefully, they each maintain their own privacy standards. This Privacy Policy applies only to systems managed directly through the dashboard.

7. Your Rights

If you are a UTRGV user, you may:

• Request access to your individual user data
• Correct inaccurate profile information
• Request deactivation or removal of your account (pending university approval)

All such requests should be directed to the designated UTRGV administrator.

8. Updates to This Policy

This Privacy Policy may be updated periodically to reflect system changes, security improvements, or compliance needs. Any significant revisions will be shared through the Platform or official communication channels.
